Lou Storiale was taught by instructors with a fine pedigree of expertise and experience, and that knowledge is passed directly to every student.
Inducted into the International Karate and Kickboxing Hall of Fame in December 1997, and trainer and coach of heavyweight kickboxing champion Joe Louis. Lou began training under Sonny at age 17.
A renowned boxing trainer and one of Lou’s foundational instructors. Hinds drilled the fundamentals that define Lou’s teaching today, clean technique, sound defense and the discipline to repeat it until it becomes second nature.
Undefeated professional boxer and Chicago boxing trainer, a technician with a traditional style who specializes in defense but, at 140 lbs, still hits like a heavyweight.
Caravello was trained by none other than Tony Zale, two-time world middleweight champion, on Ring Magazine’s list of the 100 greatest punchers of all time, best remembered for three legendary bouts with Rocky Graziano for the middleweight crown. That lineage runs straight through to Chicago Fight House:
Lou takes the technical knowledge and skill learned from these individuals, their experience and coaching expertise, and articulates it to his clients. There are few boxing trainers in Chicago who can explain how and why to execute a punch, block, evasion or footwork movement.
Lou doesn’t just teach the fundamentals, he earned them in the ring. He holds a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do and trained three years in Shorin Ryu Karate under Sonny Johnson, before going on to compete and win as a kickboxer and boxer.
